It Felt Like Magic.

I had a nice afternoon, no doubt very boring to most people my age, but to me it felt like magic. After lunch dad said he was going to his office to get the fertiliser records up to date. To call it an office gives the wrong impression in my opinion as I think it resembles more that of a small sitting room. Dad has his desk in front of the window and to the left of that, forming the corner of the room are two book cases at right angles with books and things to do with the farm on them. In front of these shelves, and right next to the desk is an armchair, this is where I like to sit when dad is working at his desk then I can watch what he is doing. In the left hand wall is an open fire place so it's nice and cosy when this is burning. There are also a couple of small couches, so it's a real nice cosy room and not at all like an office, more of a study perhaps. So I spent most of this afternoon in there watching dad and listening to the rain lashing at the window while the fire kept us nice and warm. Mum came in with tea and her home made cake at four so I joined her on one of the couches. After this I went out with dad as he did the feeding tonight to give Eric some time off. There wasn't a lot to do but it's best that someone is with him in case of an accident.

Sore Backs.

I've been with mum all day today as dad has not been doing anything that I can help with at the moment. It was okay though as I like to...
